Holy Hannah – If you haven’t introduced celery juice into your daily routine, you NEED to! I originally discovered it via Marissa Lace, who is a powerful woman but also a wellness YouTuber. She posted a lot about the benefits of celery juice in the past couple of weeks, so naturally – I gave it a shot!
My First Reaction to Celery Juice
Well, my first mistake was drinking celery juice through my metal straw (get some of those bad boys here to save the environment, go you!). I’m not sure what I was thinking but it definitely tasted better the following day without the straw!
Originally, I was thrown off because it tasted AWFUL. I forced myself to finish it because I was like “it’s awful but it works” right!? Well, let me tell you – it freaking worked 30 minutes after I finished it.
How my body responded to celery juice
Well, to be frank, I starred at the bathroom wall ALOT that day. I knew that celery juice was a great detox drink, and it was supposed to make you feel absolutely amazing, but I didn’t really process what that really meant – until it was happening.
I did a quick Google search to find that celery juice is a natural diuretic… how fun. Basically, most people don’t consume large amounts of celery in their diets, so very few people actually experience this reaction. However, when juicing, you need a large amount of the vegetable or fruit in order to actual create a substantial amount of juice.
For example, I used 2 bunches of celery to make a full mason jar of celery juice. On average, I would say it takes a bunch of celery per glass of celery juice, depending on how much you are going to drink. Thats a lot of celery to consume at once, my friends!
The benefits of celery juice
Well, as you just discovered and I discovered very quickly that day, celery juice acts as a wonderful detox drink. If you are looking to do a cleanse, to kickstart a diet you are going to start tomorrow, I highly recommend whipping up a batch of celery juice right now!
If you are trying to lose weight, celery juice is also a great option, because you will eliminate any food in your system that you don’t actually need – and it will happen fast!

So as you can see, celery juice is full of antioxidants that fight off cancer, boosts your weight loss, acts as an anti-inflammatory, balances PH in your body, and gives you a little extra boost in your day.
Overall, I would say that celery juice has copious amounts of benefits that make it a must have in your daily routine.
I have a pretty decently priced juicer that seriously gets the job done. I’m planning on upgrading soon to a better one, but I didn’t want to spend a pile of money on a juicer if I wasn’t going to use it. So, I got a cheap one to see if I was going to use it, and I have!
I highly recommend you do the same!
